Trauma is an experience that disconnects us from core needs we all have to feel fully human and fully alive. The survival of a traumatic experience can leave a person stuck in fear, defense, and exhaustion based on how our brain, nervous system and body work to protect us from threat.
With support to reconnect to our core needs, our nervous system & body shift can out of this constant survival mode. This allows the impact and meaning of our experiences to be transformed toward health, hope, and increased resilience.
